Rossendale New Build
Delta Building & Construction recommended us to this charming couple who had spent their entire lives living in the area. Their vision was to move higher up the hill and build their forever home.
The finished product of steel frame core with oak and stone decorative finishes, affords breath-taking views on 3 sides over the valley.
We were asked to come up with a lighting scheme for the entire house and were only too happy to help.
Project Overview
The main area to this stunning property is the large open plan kitchen, dining and living areas surrounded by lots of glass to take in the scenic hills and valley below.
The clients advised at outset their dining room table would not be fixed in orientation and depending on the occasion, could be rotated 90° and slotted under the island to enable more social-friendly interactions between guests and chef.
We proposed a focal point bespoke tri-LED strip feature which would be directly above both possible table locations thus ensuring ample light for both situations whilst at the same time accentuating the angles of the room. To give maximum flexibility the central strip can be illuminated by itself, the two outer strips together or all 3 thus offering 1, 2 or 3 strip illumination. All are dimmable too.
A double ceiling-mounted spotlight helps illuminate the area above the bespoke kitchen cupboards.
A bar pendant over the kitchen island provides lighting to prep and cook with.
In the opposite end of the room, a couple of wall features offer a fun yet functional light to read by whilst a wavy ceiling pendant provides illumination of the sofa area.
Finally up and down wall lights help guide you into the room from the hallway.
Lighting was also supplied in the guest and master bedrooms, bathrooms, office and hallway areas.
