CASE STUDIES

A New Build

On this particular project the client had been trying to find the right lighting for most of the rooms in her home for a few years. Although she knew the style that she liked, she wasn’t able to ‘quite find just the right ones’. We clicked as soon as we met as she loves contemporary design as well as loving to have a bit of fun and a good laugh.

Project Overview

The client made some appointments with us, a few in the showroom but also some home visits whereby we were able to bring out a few styles of lights for her to see in-situ. The client would save images of lights which she had seen online and really liked and we would then set about sourcing lights which were along these lines.

The client straightaway loved the hand-blown glass pendants that we had on display in the showroom, which she knew would look fantastic in her hallway and on the landing. She felt that either the Gold or Silver would work with her tiled floor but we finalised on the silver as the chrome metalwork linked in with her handles.

In the Study the black and gold spotlight worked really well with the gold, black and red furniture and accessories.

Another one which we knew would work well instantly was Bedroom 4 with the black framework and citron flex matching perfectly with the bed sheets and accessory cushions.

The room that took the longest to source were the two central lights for in the Lounge. It was actually after speaking with Gracjana, our in-house interior designer, that they came upon the right style. That style was simple and yet elegant, with the simplicity of the sloping off white metal framework enhanced with the moulded acrylic diffuser.

Another room which Gracjana and the client decided upon was the Master bedroom. They wanted a style that was a statement piece with the wow factor, but which wouldn’t date quickly. In this instance they decided upon a chandelier formed with high quality curved crystal bars.

The final room where the client selected her light was for one of the spare bedrooms. As soon as the client was shown the new moulded microprinted methacrylate shade, it was a case of ‘that’s the one’. This light uses a new technology to pass the light through the plastic so that it is dispersed right to the very edges of the fitting. The nature of the design gives it the appearance of a hat which you might see on Ladies day at Aintree.
